Wind, hydro and solar energy challenges for Technical Vocational and Training (TVET) electrical entrepreneur in Malaysia: A review

Abstract Renewable energy is one of the alternative resources in Malaysia to replace fossil fuel use, which an important issue that needs be established. Some possible renewable sources are wind, hydro and solar. Since 2019, various incentives announced by Malaysian Ministry Energy Natural Resources (KeTSA) enhance development line with Government policy. However, today, contrast participation investors international contractors, presence entrepreneurs domestic workers this sector feeble. In regard, Technical Vocational Training (TVET) institution seen have potential minimize crisis creating competent, skilled competitive electrical for field energy. This paper explores ability TVET participate businesses. Based on literature entrepreneur development, it was found faces four challenges, namely financial, technology costs, logistics government support. The proposed future Mini-hydro solar photovoltaic (PV), while wind power does not seem viable electricity entrepreneurs.
